Debbie Marcello is the founder and CEO of Happier at Home. Debbie has been in the healthcare field since 1986. She is a Registered Nurse, Certified Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator, and Certified Case Manager. She started Happier at Home with the patient and the family in mind, giving them a voice in their care. She developed and grew Happier at Home into a national franchise system with a solid reputation across the country known for providing holistic, patient-centered home care. As Debbie saw the gaps in care and that the needs of patients were not being met, she developed an innovative, holistic business model and service offerings by providing care advocacy, home care, and medication management solutions, which served to fill a void in care, especially when family members are not readily available to do so.
Currently, Deborah serves as the geriatric expert for 13WHAM, Fox, Good Day Rochester, and CW Rochester, making regular appearances to educate the public on issues faced by our aging population. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Rochester Broadway Theater League and completed the Rochester Healthcare Business Academy Fellowship Program. Her accolades include NYS Home Care CEO of the Year, Up and Coming Businesswoman of the Year, and Worldwide Leader in Healthcare. Additionally, she has served on the Catholic Family Charities Advisory Board, is a corporate member of the National Association of Community Pharmacies, and is the founder of the podcast “Happier at Home PRN.”
